TEAMSTERS IN RHODE ISLAND RATIFY CONTRACT EXTENSION

General Teamsters Local 251 members at McLaughlin & Moran, a Rhode Island wholesale distributor of beer, wine and spirits, overwhelmingly ratified a contract extension this week. The drivers, helpers, warehouse workers and other classifications have family-supporting jobs working for the distributor of Anheuser-Busch products, along with various craft beers, distilled spirits and other alcoholic beverages. The extension provides for wage increases, maintenance of employer-paid Teamster Healthcare and Pension benefits, and maintaining strong contract protections.
