Congratulations to #Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien, who was honored last night with the Arnold M. Dubin Award at the UMass Dartmouth Labor Ed Center 47th Anniversary Banquet in New Bedford, MA.

Joint Council 10 Secretary-Treasurer Tom Mari, and many Teamsters joined labor leaders from southeastern Massachusetts to honor O’Brien and remember Arnold Dubin, a union activist and leader within the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
The Arnold M. Dubin Labor Education Center is an outreach program of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. The Center was founded in 1975 by leaders in the labor movement, the community, and the university and has served as a bridge between working people, our communities, organizations, and UMass Dartmouth. Through educational programs, training and technical assistance, the Labor Center offers a wide range of programs from internships for college students to workplace literacy. They provide courses, conferences, workshops, seminars, and special programs in labor education to thousands of workers and for more than a hundred unions.
