TEAMSTER TO TEAMSTER: JOINT COUNCIL 10 TRUCK PICKS UP WATER FOR TEXAS RELEF EFFORT
Teamsters Joint Council 10’s semi picked up a trailer full of water for the relief effort happening in Texas. Due to the inclement weather in Texas, communities have been without electricity and access to fresh water for over a week.
Local 25 Driving School instructor Tom Morrissey and Boston Sand and Gravel member Tim Haggerty departed today for Houston with the water donated by Teamster-employer Stop and Shop grocery. Special thanks to Local 25 Stop and Shop members Mario Pina, Kenny Murray, Derek Esker and Tom Collins picked and put the water on the truck.
“When the International’s Disaster Relief effort calls, New England answers,” said Sean O’Brien, Joint Council 10 Secretary-Treasurer and Eastern Region International Vice President. “We’re ready, willing and able to assist Teamsters in need.”
