Social Security benefits for millions of public sector workers and retirees, including Teamsters, will soon be restored thanks to a Senate vote on the Social Security Fairness Act.
The Teamsters Union represents more than 200,000 public sector workers and have been part of this fight for over a decade.
Thanks to significant bipartisan support in Congress, firefighters, teachers, law enforcement and other public sector workers will no longer be unfairly penalized in retirement for simply receiving a pension.
