RHODE ISLAND TEAMSTERS TESTIFY AT STATE CAPITOL ON IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION BILLS
Teamsters Local 251 Secretary-Treasurer/Principal Officer and Joint Council 10 Trustee Matt Taibi testified at the Rhode Island State House this week in support of two important transportation bills. Local 251 represents over 900 school bus workers in Rhode Island and is active in protecting workers in this industry.
HB 5047- An Act Relative to Labor and Labor Relations, seeks to protect warehouse workers from hidden production quotas, preventing unnecessary injury and discipline.
H5305 – An Act Relating to Health and Safety, seeks to protect workers from extreme temperatures, particularly those working outside, in warehouses and making deliveries.
