RALLY IN SUPPORT OF WCI WORKERS
Teamsters Local 25 rallied at the Waltham Town Hall to bring awareness to the lack of safety supplies and protections at Work Community Independence (WCI).
The 82 WCI workers are the newest group organized by Local 25. The group voted to join the Teamsters in December. WCI workers care for the community’s most vulnerable citizens with developmental issues in residential homes. While the company received more than $2 million from the government in PPP loans, the company has failed to provide safe working conditions for both staff and patients.
