OFFICER HERSHEY’S ACTIONS ONCE AGAIN AVERT A TRAGEDY
Officer Hersey’s Actions Once Again Avert a Tragedy
On March 31, 2022, Officer Hersey of Seabrook Police Department encountered a young adult sitting on the outside of the railing / barrier of an overpass for Route 95. Officer Hersey’s quick thinking and experience in handling citizens in crisis allowed him to move close enough to the individual to secure them and guide them back on to the street side of the railing. You may recall last year Officer Hersey forced open a door to a dwelling that was engulfed in flames and rescued the resident from what would have been a tragic end. Brother Hersey is a prime example of another Teamster on the front lines getting it done. Outstanding work Officer Hersey, thank you for being there to make a difference. We all share Officer Hersey’s concern for this young adult, and we all hope that the individual receives the assistance they need to move forward in a positive way.
