LOCAL 653 CONTINUES FIGHT FOR MIDDLEBORO MINI-BUS DRIVERS
Local 653 mini-bus drivers continue to rally to protest unfair treatment they have received from the Town of Middleboro.
The 10 drivers, who transport children with special needs, protested the outsourcing of good union jobs in addition to the Town of Middleboro’s refusal to pay hazard pay that is being offered to other town employees.
“The Town of Middleboro wants to ignore the service and sacrifice of these essential workers. Teamsters Local 653 will not let the town forget that these drivers transport the community’s most precious cargo and they deserve recognition and respect,” said Bill Trask, Local 653 President and Business Agent.
