LOCAL 1150 CAREER PATHWAYS PROGRAM RECOGNIZED
Recently Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson bragged about the Teamsters-Sikorsky Career Pathways program on her LInkedIn account.
Unfortunately, Hewson didn’t bother to mention that this entire program is a partnership between the Teamsters and the company. Additionally the program was originally conceived and started by the union.
Each year the Career Pathways program gives Connectitcut high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to work on the shop floor alongside Teamster workers. The program has led to hundreds job placements at Sikorsky and has helped to grow the pool of technically-skilled workers.
