JOHNSON BROTHERS WORKERS LET PEOPLE KNOW THE COST OF SCAB WINE AND LIQUOR
Striking Johnson Brothers workers hit the streets again yesterday to let customers know they are being sold scab booze. These workers leafletted Haxton Liquor in Warwick and Broadway Liquor in Providence.
“The price people are paying for products distributed by Johnson Brothers includes the cost of the economic terror they are inflicting on their own drivers,” said Matt Taibi, Teamsters Local 251 Principal Officer. “Every drink of one of these products is at the expense of members of our Rhode Island community. We are asking the community to stand up to Johnson Brothers and for their neighbors.”
Most customers were disgusted that the stores repeatedly takes scab deliveries from replacement drivers. They told management they would not be shopping at their store again.
Please ask Rhode Island liquor stores, restaurants and bars to refuse delivery of Johnson Brothers products. Visit the picket line and show Johnson Brothers that workers stick together and will not be treated like second-class citizens.
