The Teamsters Joint Council 10 and the Local 25 trucks will join striking Local 202 Hunts Point produce workers on their picket line tomorrow morning.
“Teamsters Local 25 produce workers stand with our brothers and sisters who feed New York City,” said Sean O’Brien, Teamsters Eastern Region Vice President. “Unfortunately, the market’s employer’s did not get the message last week, that Teamsters stand together. So we will head back to the Bronx tomorrow and show our support.”
More than 60% of New York City’s produce is handled through the Hunt’s Point Market, 772 Edgewater Road
