ENFORCEMENT IN ACTION
Teamsters Local 170 Steward Adam Leger holds UPS accountable for contractual violations. During the last week of December 2020 the last round of grievance checks, with the annual total reaching nearly $100,000, were hand-delivered by Business Agent Eli Gillen.
This is a small Metro building with a little more than 45 drivers and a combined 28 local and preload employees.
“This group works hard to do things the right way and they make every effort to be sure that UPS does the same. They have a good mix of experienced members, as well as a younger core group, all dedicated and engaged,” said Shannon George, Local 170 Principal Officer. “Thanks to Adam for all the time and effort he puts in each week between communicating with the local, filing grievances and being an example of a strong Teamster and good employee.”
