Teamsters Local 170 union and health and welfare office staff are the unsung heroes of the union. Local 170 health and welfare staffers manage the claims for participating members and retirees. The local union staff keeps the business of the union of 4,400 members running smoothly each and every day.

“They’re the people members see and talk to everyday, but often they can be overlooked. The fact is the whole union doesn’t work with out them,” said Shannon George, Local 170 Secretary-Treasurer.
