50,000 BOTTLES OF WATER MASSACHUSETTS TO KENTUCKY

50,000 BOTTLES OF WATER MASSACHUSETTS ➡️ KENTUCKY
This weekend Teamsters Local 25 joined Teamsters from Kentucky, Atlanta and Minnesota, among others, to distribute water and other supplies to residents in need in eastern Kentucky. Teamsters Local 89 coordinated the union effort.
“Teamsters are family from Boston to Baton Rouge and beyond,” said Teamsters Joint Council 10 New England Secretary-Treasurer and Local 25 President Thomas G. Mari. “Often in times of crisis, the biggest roadblock is transporting items to those in need, and that is where the Teamsters can make the biggest impact. We are glad to be able to partner with Stop & Shop to help those in Kentucky with much needed water during this difficult time.”
“Sometimes being a good neighbor means lending a hand beyond the communities where we operate,” said James Labrecque, Vice President of Distribution for Stop & Shop. “This week, we’re proud to partner with Teamster Local 25 to help the residents of Kentucky who were impacted by devastating floods, which have left many without access to fresh water. Stop & Shop and the Teamsters have come together to donate a tractor trailer filled with approximately 50,000 bottles of water. A member of the Teamsters will be volunteering their time to drive the truck from Massachusetts to Eastern Kentucky so the water can be distributed to those in need.”
