JOINT COUNCIL 10 REPORTS SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS

Joint Council 10 reports that after two days of bargaining this week that significant progress has been made on several non-economic issues. In particular, agreements have been reached on Recognition, Union Security, Probationary Period, Safety Committee, Grievance and Arbitration Procedure, Management Rights and Bulletin Boards. The next round of bargaining in mid-May will focus on Health Care and other economic issues. The representatives of Joint Council 10 made it very clear to Sysco that it expects to reach an agreement on all issues by Memorial Day. The committee continues to work diligently to achieve the best Teamster collective bargaining agreement with Sysco Boston.
